MT Gustaf E. Reuter

MT Gustaf E. Reuter was a 418.9 x 55.1 x 32.1 foot 6.336 tons Swedish motor tanker with 543 hp oil engines from the company Rederi A/B Reut. She was built in 1928 on shipyard Eriksbergs MV.

On a voyage from Haugesund to Curaçao she was torpedoed and sunk by a German submarine U-48 at 00.30 on 27 November 1939 at the position , 14 miles west-northwest from Fair Isle, and broke in two. The wreck was sunk by an escort vessel the next day. One person died while 33 survived.
